JON NELSON

Jon Nelson is a contemporary artist who creates color field expressionist works with acrylic and spray paint. Jon says that his art feels like a very pure essential communication without the boundaries and limitations of mind. Jon Nelson is inspired from the experience of his daily life and from teaching others to paint.

Jon grew up in transition in snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding and music that cultivated each subject into the creative process into a style of painting. As an artist, Jon has been able to engage creativity on materials such as canvas, shoes, wood, hats, photography, skateboards and concrete walls. His artwork has opened doors that have enabled him to travel to major cities that give him inspiration to progress with art.

He has been creating artwork for nearly ten years now and continues to learn something new from observing and appreciating all different styles of art. What began as a hobby for fun, soon turned into something very passionate in his life. Jon loves to create artwork and has worked with charities and foundations to help support their causes.

Jon Nelson and JN ARTWORX live and reside in Ventura, California. A setting that has allowed him to find an artistic home that has grown into producing and selling art on canvas, clothing, and unique mural paintings. Jon has been teaching art to kids for the last 2 years at Cape a Charter middle school in Camarillo. He learns from each of his paintings and will continue to do so.
