Money

I haven't gone nosing around lately to compare prices with other yoga establishments, but I have been operating under the very strong impression that my prices and policies are fair, generous, and clearly stated. I think it's lame to refer to oneself as generous, but my intention is to establish inclusive prices. The exclusivity that has infested the yoga world has got to go.

Even way back before the economy took a face plant, people were having epic tantrums over $5 class prices, $6.25 class costs, and expirations dates, etc..I am happy to report that ZanZilla has its peaceful atmosphere back.

The best deal I offer right now is 12 classes for $100 within 60 days. I think it's good. The retrievable classes are good and save all of us money.

So explain to my boggled mind this:

Where in the world did anyone ever come up with the wack notion that untaken classes purchased at the discount rate are to be regarded as "extra" money being donated to the studio as a generous act of benefaction?

Imagine going into your favourite restaurant for decades and not tipping. Imagine the look on the restaurant owner's face when you try to explain that because for years you have at times not eaten the bread or the salad from your plate, that this was an act generosity on your part that should be acknowledged with a reserved special booth....????? Or something like that....ZanZilla does not solicit tips...it's just an analogy, but you can be assured that when you go into your favourite coffee shop any unconsumed latte staring up from your cup will not pass as tips for the jar!

It is incomprehensible that I have to explain this. I hope that my finest ZZ loveys will find humour in this notion that cold-cocked my mind, that untaken classes were suggested to be generous donations to the studio. Wack I tell you! WACK. The humble yogis that practise alongside me at ZZ on the inclusive side of the spectrum have always approached with respect for policies.

Status and privilege cannot be purchased at ZZ. Anyone who has the need to purchase their way into an elite, "Platinum Captain's Contributors" category cannot do so by purchasing extremely low-cost yoga classes and not showing up. Or by any other more dignified means. You come as a student. Humble and smiling.

We're all in the low-cost bus together, and we can always communicate and make it work out.

Besides, aren't true donations anonymous anyway?

In texturous love, Zan
