ZAN FERRIS
Zan was initiated into Transcendental Meditation as a child, and in 1997 fulfilled a lifelong desire to visit India and study yoga by completing the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training course in Neyyar Dam, India. Upon returning, she studied with Erich Schiffmann, Scott Blossom, Paul Grilley, Judi Flannery, Judith Loftus and Steve Dwelley. Zan has taught over 2,000 documented yoga classes in the past 14 years, and opened ZanZilla in March of 2005. She completed the Restorative Exercise Institute's RES training in Spring 2011. Zan is prompted by a spontaneous quality, and feels that the true transmission of yoga occurs outside of linear time, and in a manner that transcends the five senses. 2011 update: Voted Best Yoga Teacher in Ventura County (VCR readers'poll), requested to be "retired" from that event as will no longer accept votes, attained Reiki Master Teacher and Color Spa Practitioner Level II.
THERESA STEVENS Ph.D.
Theresa grew up in San Diego and moved to Santa Barbara to attend UC Santa Barbara in the 1980s. From a young age she fully enjoyed being outdoors and pursued athletic performance goals by participating in competitive and community softball for several decades, as well as swimming, cycling and short and long distance running which set the stage for multiple over-use injuries. On the recommendation of her massage therapist, she began practicing Restorative Exercise™ and has studied and trained with Katy Bowman since 2007. She received her Restorative Exercise Specialist™ certification in 2009. She is currently completing the requirements for her Master RES™ certificate. There is no truer statement than “…it is not the destination that matters, but rather the journey…”

RAECHELLE CARINO
Raechelle started practicing Yoga 20+ years ago because she was born with hip dysplasia, severe asthma, and had anxiety problems growing up. Because she feels Yoga has been such a beautiful gift, Raechelle wanted to share it with the world. As a result, she began teaching classes in 2001. Yoga has been there for her from the beginning. She practiced as a college student, through her pregnancy...and now she does Yoga with her baby boy, Angelo, who was born on June 13, 2008.
SARAH BLOOM
Sarah recently moved from Santa Barbara to Ventura and is very passionate about Yoga. She has been teaching classes for the last 7 years at studios and gyms in Santa Barbara, including: Yoga Soup, Gold's gym, Spectrum gym, and the Santa Barbara Yoga Center. The style of class she leads would be classified as "Vinyasa", though her teacher training was in "Classical Ashtanga", and she has practiced Ashtanga Mysore individually. Sarah's dance backgroundlends itself to a more fluid/ dance like form of a yoga class, connecting poses with the breath as Vinyasa does, but with more dance like movement within the class time.
ERIC RODRIQUEZ
Eric has studied spiritual traditions at home and around the world for many years. He has a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies, and is completing a Masters Degree in Counseling. VALERIE PIKE
Valerie is originally from the South! She is a soy candlemaker and trained by Mini Yogis! She is ZanZilla's Kid's Yoga teacher. She has studied many children books, yoga games and dvd's and taught classes and learned that 45 minutes is a great class length even though she has new yoga poses, yoga games and material to go on like the solar system!
Valerie loves the ocean and many of her poses and meditations are ocean themed. She believes in saving our oceans from the seahorses to even the sharks! She is a certified scuba diver, loves to kayak and considers herself a mermaid! She has owned a sailboat and would someday like to learn surfsailing.
Peace, love and harmony to our younger generation!
